Sea Fishing at Kvitnesvågen havfiske
Strategically, Kvitnesvågen could hardly be better situated at Sortlandsundet, with a transition to Langøysundet in the west and the Hadselfjord in a southerly direction. Head south-east to our destination "Hillestad Hennes" to drive in the Raftsundet - a real hotspot for all Pollack friends.
In the northerly direction you also have access to the Djup- and Sigerfjorden - so there is certainly plenty of fish here.
The preferred target fish, as almost everywhere in the north, is, of course, the Hallibut, which has already been regularly laid on the planks by our guests in neighboring Hennes. Top place just around the corner from Kvitnesvågen is the west side of the small island "Fiskholman", where many huge catches already have been caught on the 50m line. In the middle of the Hadselfjorden, the great charcoal-fueled pelagic rides are starting in summer and autumn - "light tackle fish" with large baitcas and small pilkers or rubber pikes bring the roles to the screech.
According to the Norwegians, many good flatfishes were caught in the rather poorly structured Djupfjorden - tip here: use small strips of the chicken breast fillet as a bait - keeps longer on the hook and is very catchy!
