What this fishing area has to offer, apart from its offshore location, can be more than guessed not only by looking at the nautical chart, but also by “googling” a bit on the internet. Whether cod and coalfish over 1.20m - mark or redfish over 5kg, whether halibut fishing like "Plötzenstippen" or light-tackling for huge pollack - the opportunities to experience an incomparable and unforgettable fishing not far from the fishing camp are almost nowhere as big as around Myken. This is ensured on the one hand by the extremely varied soil structure of the surrounding fishing area and on the other hand by the fact that there is generally a stable tidal current in the offshore areas - regardless of wind and weather, the table is always set for the big predators.
