Depending on the wind direction you can fish here on many of the large fishing grounds that lie on the edge of the Vestfjorden. Here you will find many places, such as in Skardsfjorden, west of the camp.

Here there are good fishing opportunities for big codfish, and just 2 km to the south there are good places for redfish. If you are looking for Deepwater fishing the area south of Korsvika, in Holandsfjorden, is extremely good. Also in Engavågen-Straumen, north of Halsa, which is approximately 15 minutes by boat, you can expect coalfish and ling.

Probably the most popular place, around the lighthouse, is about 8 minutes by boat from the camp - halibut and big codfish are regularly caught here. With a bit of luck, you can experience great fishing moments northwest of Halsa on Olaryggen - but since this top spot is off shore you have to plan an hour's boat drive here and should also ask about the weather forecast in advance.

There is also very good freshwater fishing in this area, with good stocks of trout and char in the nearby Grønåsvatnet.
