Lofoten North Light and Fishing Brettesnes

Lofoten is often referred to as a myth and a legendary area for sport fishing in the sea. And it is not without reason that this area is famous among anglers around the world. Quantities of large halibut, cod and coalfish are caught here.

You don't have to travel far by boat to experience the fishing adventure of a lifetime. In March/April, you can catch skrei (spawing cod) from the slaughter house, to say it in a funny way.

One of the area's most exciting fishing spots lies to the north and is called Raftsundet. Here you will find a powerful tidal current that permanently feeds large fish - here swims your dream fish. Simply put, you can experience first-class sea fishing here all year round.

Late summer/early autumn is the time to hunt the large coalfish that follow the herring into the Vestfjorden. It is not unusual with specimens between 15-20 kg. When such a fish strike your lure, you really get to test your rod action.

We would also like to mention that the local area has several good fishing lakes that have great trout fishing.
