Skarnsundet Hytte

Skarnsundet Hytte is quite centrally located between the best places for tusk, ling and lyre in Straumen and the hotspots for cod, haddock and whiting on Rossegrunnen. The fast and solid 17ft/30hp aluminum boats will get you there in no time. There is a great sea trout and lyre route right in front of your house all the way to Skarnsundet. Small bomber wobblers in the colors "four tiger" or "red/black" have brought in quite a few good fish here. But the great specialty of this destination is undoubtedly the unique sei fishing - a very special place near the Skarnsundetbrua in front of a plateau about 10 minutes by boat from your holiday home. In the first two hours after each high tide, a lot of small prawns gather here due to the drainage water, which serves as food for the catfish. Fishing is not easy because you have to go against the current in the boat to get the bait offered at a distance of about 50-70m to " flutter ". For anglers who want to come here in the spring, the excellent fishing in the nearby Beistadfjorden is recommended - especially in April, large cod are regularly caught there in large quantities.
