Press Release from Din Tur AS Regarding Criminal Investigations Against a Former Sales Partner in Germany

Trondheim, July 16, 2026

Din Tur AS has taken note of the press release issued by the Dresden Public Prosecutor’s Office on July 14, 2026, as well as individual reports in the German media regarding an ongoing investigation into allegations of organized and commercial fraud against five suspects in connection with the arrangement of fishing trips to Norway.

According to the press release issued by the Dresden Public Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation concerns alleged fraud committed to the detriment of a Norwegian company. That company is Din Tur AS. We are therefore the injured party in this matter, not the accused. The accused are neither current nor former employees of Din Tur AS. Until 1 July 2024, Din Tur AS had a commercial agency agreement with an independent German company based in Dresden, which sold fishing trips on our behalf to customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. That collaboration was terminated by Din Tur AS with immediate effect on 1 July 2024. Civil disputes between the parties are pending before the Dresden courts, including disputes regarding the validity of the extraordinary termination.

While the investigation is ongoing, we will not comment on further details. But we can promise our guests one thing: this does not affect your trip. We look forward to welcoming you to our fishing camps along the Norwegian coast, just as before.

Trips will take place as usual

The investigation has no impact on our guests. Our top priority is and remains to provide our guests with unforgettable trips to excellent fishing camps along the Norwegian coast. Din Tur AS and the former German sales agent are separate and independent companies, each with its own ownership and finances. Bookings originally made through the agent are now handled directly by us. If you have any questions about a trip booked via Germany, please contact us directly.

Stine Stangeland Haldorsen is the Managing Director of Din Tur and has spent the past 15 years working closely with the Norwegian tourism industry — much of that time in Tromsø. She is one of the most prominent voices advocating for sea fishing tourism as both an industry and a travel product.

For Stine, Din Tur is about more than bookings and destinations. It is about creating jobs in rural communities, promoting Norway as a travel destination, and ensuring that guests from around the world experience something they would never have discovered on their own.
